Boon Signet Built
Hi.
I was trying to make a new Boon-Prot built. Having lost touch with OoB i decided to make a new built.
It's quite smiliar to the old one, however i made some changes to adapt the skills to Boon Signet.
There is Guardian, RoF, Protective Spirit, Divine Boon, and the Signet.
In addition, i chose Channeling in order to have two Enchantments on oneself.
It's great to get some nrg, as you can cast Boon Signet on yourself and get 4 energy - 6 if you have Guardian on you, and 7 if Protective Spirit - of course its also great to steal nrg from the enemies.
As you can see, i got two rez-skills. They are however not necessary and one of the skills could be replaced by either pacifism, mend condition/ailment or a hex-remove-spell.
Using Holy Veil is always a nice thing, but in this built it would take too much mana. Having only 2 Points of nrg-regeneration would only be compensated by Blessed Signet, the using up one skill slot. This doesnt work very well, and if one tried to get rid of nrg-problems, it would lead to bonding. However, i havent tried that yet - i can only say that this built works quite find for me.
Suggestions are welcome

Is this a PvE Build? If it is I would suggest using Rebirth and drop veng for a hex removal. If it is PvP I would suggest that you bring restore life instead of res signet (or dont bring res at all and just keep veng). In fact, in PvP I tell my Mo/W to bring ressurection.

No condition removal. No hex removal. Needs work. Boon Prots aren't so powerful because they can do 2 things at once (prot and heal). They're a great build because they have the potential to do it all.

i assume you're talking about Rebirth. It does have a long cast time, and a wicked weak health on revival/0 energy. But its a Corpse pull for PvE. If all else fails, run your little monkey butt away from the fight and rez them later from a sfe place to a safe place. Thats why Rebirth is the rez of choice in PvE.

^SF Builds.
There are a few people who run boon builds in SF. Also let me remind you that the faction skills arn't out yet for the general public.

actually, this was thought as a pvp built. (havent tested in pve though)
But you're right, having tested it once more, i decided to get rid of the two rez-skills - now having resurect instead and mend condition.
And i forgot to mention, that you'd best pick the new armor, that gives +10 AC while enchanted. (or +15 while condition, as u cant remove them on yourself).
But this might also work fine with Air of Enchantment, maybe even better. DiIdnt test this yet.

this is a boon prot build I ve used during the FPE, using boon signet
divine favor 16
protection prayers 13
unused points 6
rehearsal or fortune
mend condition/mend ailment
guardian
contemplation of purity
boon signet [Elite]
signet of devotion
divine boon
holy veil/smite hex/remove hex (your preference)
before, I used the mo/n boon prot, now I use the mo/me boon prot with Energy drain or mantras of recall. All I did was take that out and put boon signet, and I was also thinking about taking out signet of devotion(even if its a good energy management because its a signet) for protective spirit, so I could have one more enchant to use boon signet with.
It has work well enough for me, thought I have sometimes had some energy management issues when the battle would get really long. but its too bad I cant try it out anymore...
EDIT: this is for PvP

I tried replacing Energy Drain with Boon Signet in my usual boon prot build, but it didn't work very well. Unless the enemy was completely incompetent, I was under far too much pressure to be spend one out of every six seconds on a negligible heal just to keep my energy up.

I've found protective spirit to be far more important then signet of devotion. It is a very nice skill, but i had few problems with nrg (maybe because good mesmers were rare).
However, i'll try several different builds when factions is released.

Ok, first of all, NO RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOING SUP/MAJORS FOR PVP/GVG/HA builds, after all YOU will be the first target, so u need to have HUGE max hp:
divine:12+1+1
Prot 10+1
Inspiration 8
RoF, Guardian, Mend Ailment, Insp Hex, Prot Spirit, Channeling (yeah, long enchant with low energy cost, more enrgy from boon signet,), boon, and boon signet

If you are the first target every time as a monk in GvG, there is one of two problems. Either your opponent is completely incompetant, or your positioning is retarded.
